This projects was born as a gift.
A gift to this mediterranean Land which embraced and charmed me with her majestic variety; so I decided to embark myself on this adventure, to show this Land to who, like myself, have never enough of being amazed by the boundless show of Nature.
I’ve tried, with all my means, to tell the variety and the vastity of these places and I chose as a powerful and direct communication way, the time-lapse photography technique, which embodies the perfect bond between photography and video (and music).
Time fragments, captured in sequence and then shown in their entirety; the power to compress the flowing time in a few seconds, to make apparently still clouds frenetically dance and twist, to let the sun roll out of the blue sky and the stars traverse the black roads of the night sky.
Time tells its story through images.
This personal experience of mine does not have the claim to represent the whole garganic territory, even though I tried covering most of it.
My last goal is NOT the genesis of an encyclopaedic work, but the SHARING: sharing a Land so generous of landscape beauties and so enjoyable in every season, sharing an important personal and professional growth experience, as a photographer, filmmaker but even just humble and genuine Nature lover.
It’s an invitation to visit these places, in the total respect of them: of their silences and their noise, of the stories they have to tell and the secrets they have to keep.
One of my greatest ambitions since I started this profession is to use photography as a powerful way of sharing, through the images’ sensibility; therefore, beyond the undeniable technical-descriptive side, there are the Soul and sensibility of a loving person.
I hope to have succeeded in my intent and that this message reaches every one of you who will have the time and will to explore these pages and live, through the images and the video, after reading this deserved introduction, this mediterranean Land so dear to me.
I can do no more, at this point, but wishing you a nice and pleasant wandering through the contents offered here.
Thank you all for every bit of attention you gave me reading this, and everything else.
